Antibiotic stewardship is something we take very seriously. Our practices allow us to rarely rely on antibiotics for treating any sick animals. However, just like humans, sometimes cattle fall ill and need treatment. As care-givers to our cattle, we pride ourselves in doing everything we can to minimize pain and suffering for our cattle. We work closely with our local veterinarian to determine if and when antibiotics are needed.
Our herd health practices ensure we use antibiotics on a limited, only as necessary, basis. Not only are we committed to making good health decisions for our family, but we are also committed to protecting the health of our cattle herd.
Did you know all meat is antibiotic-free. Any animals treated for illness or injury do not enter the food chain until they have gone through the mandatory USDA withdrawal period. This time period ensures beef is safe for all consumers.

We have been raising the Blue's since 2016. It started out as
a way for me (Rose) to quit breeding horses as I love horses.
But I also have always loved the Breed of Belgian Blue since I did
my report in Vo Tech on them. When I did my report I found that
they had better meat quaility then your average commerical herd
did (Angus, Hereford, Simmental, etc.).
While fast forward to 2016 when my husband (Steve) finally said I will do anything if you quit breeding horses, So I said fine I want a Belgian Blue which at that time I did not know in American they were reffered as American Blue's. We started of with a Old Full Blood cow who had a calf at side and was breed,we got from a awesome family over in Iowa. After them a few months later we purchased a 3/4 Blood American Blue bull and a Middle Age Black cow (Maine Anjou) who had a 1/2 blood Heifer and was bred back to an American Blue Bull for the following year. The next year we butchered the 1/2 blood heifer and fell in love with the meat!!!!!
From there our herd has continued to grow and the more I studied up on the breed the more I fell in love with them. Not only are they docile to handle BUT their meat is some of the HEALTHIEST BEEF out there.
We want to share with everyone the great opperitunity of what this
meat has to offer.
